- Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA)
VEDA is a nonprofit organization that provides information to the public and health professionals about inner-ear balance disorders such as Ménière’s disease, BPPV, and labyrinthitis.
- American Academy of Audiology
Organization dealing with all aspects of audiology, including diagnostics, hearing aids, and auditory rehabilitation. Largest of the organizations devoted solely to the practice of audiology.
- Academy of Dispensing Audiologists
Deals with all aspects of hearing related to the dispensing of hearing aids.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
Largest national organization dealing with speech and hearing disorders. Good site for consumer information related to speech and hearing problems and rehabilitation.
- American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS)
Physician organization dealing with diseases of the ears, nose, and throat. Very good site for consumers.
- Healthy Hearing
Healthy Hearing -information source on hearing aids, hearing loss, tinnitus, cochlear implants, hearing aid batteries, dizziness, and all other hearing health topics.
- American Tinnitus Association
The American Tinnitus Association (ATA) is the national champion of tinnitus awareness, prevention, and treatment. Under its guiding principles — Education, Advocacy, Research, and Support — the ATA offers prevention programs in schools, urges governmental and private organizations to support hearing conservation, funds the nation’s brightest researchers, and facilitates self-help groups around the country.
